FBI: Crypto fraud losses reached record $11.4 billion in 2025, seniors disproportionately affected
In 2025, crypto-related fraud resulted in record losses of $11.4 billion. Individuals aged 60 and older were particularly targeted, accounting for $4.4 billion of these losses across 44,555 complaints, nearly double the losses of the next most affected age group.
